Russell passions and interests are varied. He counts mountain-biking, sailing, golf, and tennis as serious hobbies. He has presented everything, from programmes on Art and Antiques for BBC 2, to The Great Outdoors for Channel 4. In addition, Russell has never been frightened of being thrust into unchartered territory, producing and presenting recorded and live broadcasts from 20,000 feet up on Makalu, the world’s fifth highest mountain, for BBC1.
