I want to set the world record for the largest ever spin art canvas.

One of my goals is to set the world record for the largest ever spin art canvas.

With all the records out there, surprisingly there isn’t one set for the largest spin art canvas and that’s what I want to change. I’ve been onto Dulux and as part of their ‘Colour the community’ charity campaign; they are interested in sponsoring me and providing the paint!

If it comes off, it will see me travel to a popular city centre spot, say Trafalgar square in London early one morning to set up. We would have a bespoke 30 foot square canvas that would need to be constructed on site and connected to a pretty powerful motor to spin it. I would be hoisted into the air high above the spinning canvas on a cherry picker. This would give me the height I would need to throw on the paint and hopefully the result would be pretty spectacular!

It would hopefully be a pretty big public event, with all proceeds going to charity. The resultant canvas would be donated to a community to display on a large public space!

Keep checking back for more news!

Take care

Russell

So spring is finally here! The clocks have gone back; the days are getting warmer and the evenings lighter. We’ve had an amazing week of weather with temperatures in the mid 20′s! But as always in Britain, were expecting cooler weather towards the weekend – typical. The office is in full swing at the moment. We’re all working frantically to get the documentary finished for Peckforton Castle. We have started to use a DSLR camera to film on and its taken a while to get used to all the new kit and techniques, but we think we’re finally there! The new multi-platform project were working on with Channel 4 is starting to take shape and we are excited for its future. I’ve been working on some new spin art canvas’s and there now available for sale!

I hope you are all keeping well & keep popping back for more news!

Oh, I almost forgot. Follow us on Twitter @littleplanetuk & @wemakegoodstuff !

So, what have I been up to? Well the new property project is slowly taking shape, inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s masterpiece, “Fallingwater”. Google it! I now have over twenty pieces of spin-art and am now making contact with galleries, to see if I might be able to sell them! If nothing else, we need the space at home! Each canvas is 1-metre squared and some of them are as big as 2-meter squared, so they take up a lot of room. The tower is taking up huge amounts of my time; you can imagine the kind of maintenance a 90-foot stone listed water tower takes! Am excited about a project we are working on for Act 4 Africa, which could see us filming in Uganda. Am also in the process of setting up a new JV with some digital partners – we have some software we’ve developed which we believe is going to revolutionise online shopping.

Well the holidays are over and my feet are well and truly back under my desk. Having spent some 3 weeks touring Europe, I have a mountain of work to get through. Am looking out the window of my office, some 60 feet above the verdant Cheshire countryside, with the rain falling and the farmer ploughing his fields, I know winter is just around the corner! My new website has gone live and am pretty chuffed with it! Am pretty busy on the work front, as have a few new projects on the go.

Very excited about our first WebTV offering which goes live in November. At home, life is just as busy, especially as we now have a new addition to the family in the form of Henry the Tibetan Terrier! Am recovering (slowly) from my bike accident: nursing a broken coccyx and a fractured lumbar 1 vertebrae. Ouch!
